Fitzgerald Flournoy papers
This collection includes letters to and from John L. Campbell, Dean at Washington and Lee University, as well as letters to, from, and concerning Frank J. Gilliam, who was a member of the Washington and Lee class of 1917, 1912-1926. Campbell and Gilliam correspond about several members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity being unable to return for the next semester due to grades. They also correspond about a prospective student from Lynchburg.

A modern photographic copy of a Civil war period image of Fitzhugh Lee, Confederate cavalry commander, governor of Virginia and nephew of R.E. Lee. The original image was likely made by Julian Vannerson of Richmond, Va.

Fork Union Military Academy Yearbook
This collection consists of a single Fork Union Academy Yearbook, 1907-1908. The yearbook contains the photographs and information on the student body at that time. Included within this student body is Francis P. Gaines, who would later become president of Washington and Lee University.
Four Images (originals and copies) of McCown Springs, near Williamsville, Bath County, Va.
Images are contemporary copies of scrapbook photographs that likely dated between 1920 and 1950. One image shows a wooden gazebo. The other shows a hotel-like dwelling with a covered porch. McCown Springs was also known as All Healing Springs. Original source of photographs is unknown. Copies were made by Special Collections staff. Also included are two original photos.

This collection contains a fragmentary Book of Hours with French offices and prayers. The text is in French and Latin. The book originiated in France around 1470 CE.
